An international scientific conference took place at the Oguz Khan Engineering and Technology University in Ashgabat on June 12. Scientists from 20 countries took part in the event. The forum was held at the initiative of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov. It was reported by the news agency «Turkmenistan today».
The conference was organized in honor of Science Day. The congress brought together researchers of different ages. These are the representatives from the Russian Federation, China, Germany, Iran, the Republic of Korea, and several Central Asian states.
The forum was dedicated to such topics as environmental protection, nanotechnology, biotechnology, innovative economy, alternative energy, pharmaceutics, and digitalization. Foreign scientists expressed their readiness to expand partnerships with their Turkmen colleagues.
On the same day, the university held an awards ceremony for the winners of the competition of scientific works among young people. Employees of institutes of the Academy of Sciences, teachers, students, schoolchildren, as well as citizens who are not related to the science sphere took part in the competition.
