The Dushanbe Water Festival has started in the capital of the Republic of Tajikistan today, on June 6, at 6:30 pm. The event is taking place as part of the International Conference on the International Decade for Action “Water for Sustainable Development”, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan reported.
The Festival is taking place in the Navruzgh Park of Culture and Recreation. It will last until 9 pm. The Festival will feature the folk art and craft exhibition, national food show, national fashion show, concerts and master classes.
The main goals of the Festival are to raise awareness of the value of water, inform citizens of the Republic about water issues, elucidate the state policy on water resource management and conservation and draw attention of the world community.
Dushanbe will host the Second High-level International Conference on the International Decade for Action “Water for Sustainable Development” from June 6 to 9.
