Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan Zavki Zavkizoda held talks with CEO of the International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation (ITFC) Hani Salem Sonbol. They considered directing investment in Tajik economy, the press office of the Ministry reported.
Zavkizoda presented the macroeconomic achievements of Tajikistan and the action plan to prevent the impact of potential risks on the national economy adopted on March 18 this year.
The Minister of Economic Development and Trade proposed that Hani Salem Sonbol invest in the priority sectors of Tajik economy, as investment will help protect the economy from potential adverse effects of Western sanctions imposed against the business partners of Tajikistan. The CEO of the International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation supported this proposal.
Currently, the ITFC is involved in the implementation of 3 projects in Tajikistan totally worth $24 million US dollars.
