On May 31, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a meeting of the State Security Council. It was dedicated to ensuring peace and stability in the country. Officials were given the relevant instructions, as reported by the state news agency «Turkmenistan today».
The participants of the meeting discussed the results of the work of law enforcement agencies for January-May of this year. Attention was paid to the priority tasks to improve their work.
Berdimuhamedov said that the guarantor of a peaceful life in Turkmenistan is a military doctrine that is focused on the defense of the state. He also pointed out the importance of providing the army with modern equipment.
According to the president, the officials also have to focus on solving the social issues of soldiers, improving their combat skills, and expanding patriotic education of cadets. Prosecutor General Batyr Atdayev was instructed to oversee the strict implementation of legal acts.
During the meeting, its participants also considered issues of ensuring fire safety and improving the efficiency of the border service.
