On May 26, Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan Abdurakhmon Abdurakhmonzoda met with Director at Samsung C&T Deutschland GMBH Tae Suk Kim in the Ministry building. The interlocutors discussed partnerships in digital economy, the press office of the Ministry reported.
Abdurakhmonzoda noted that in accordance with the Order of President Emomali Rahmon, Tajikistan adopted the digital transformation concept and programme for the national economy and trading activities. Tajikistan has launched a trade portal, the total number of visitors to which has exceeded 270,000 people, including citizens of 40 states.
The parties agreed to expand cooperation in promoting eCommerce. Tae Suk Kim said the company was ready to contribute to the implementation of the above initiatives. The emphasis was placed on the importance of boosting an exchange of experience between experts in this sphere.
The emphasis was also placed on the prospects of setting up joint economic entities in the free economic zones of the Republic.
