Tashkent hosts international leather and leather products exhibition

On May 25, the 12th International Exhibition of Leather, Footwear, Leather Accessories, Fur and Wool UzCharmExpo-2022, organised by the Uzcharmsanoat Association jointly with the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan, started its work in the capital of Uzbekistan, the press office of the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan reports.

The participants include the delegations of leather enterprises from Russia, Belarus, Germany, Poland, Great Britain, India, Turkey and other countries, as well as 400 representatives of Uzbekistan’s light industry. The International Council of Tanners, the International Fur Federation and industry associations from foreign countries are represented at the exhibition.

The exhibition provides a platform for business meetings, including B2B and G2B meetings, which are to result in concluding numerous mutually beneficial contracts.

Uzbekistan’s leather industry is one of the most dynamically developing industries. Uzbekistan is experiencing growth in exports, and state support is provided to entrepreneurs operating in this industry. Over the past few years, more than 630 million soums have been invested in the industry, and leather production has risen 5.8 times.

The leather and leather products exhibition will last until May 27 inclusive.
