On May 19, Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan Zavka Zavkizoda and Deputy Minister of Ministry of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Turkey Cetin Ali Donmez held a face-to-face meeting in Dushanbe. The parties agreed to expand trade partnerships, the press office of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan reports.
Zavkizoda stressed that interstate cooperation had reached a qualitatively new level thanks to the wise policy of the leaders of Tajikistan and Turkey Emomali Rahmon and Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
It was noted that last year the countries traded $390.5 million, which is 21% more than in 2020.
The parties focused on creating joint economic entities that would process raw cotton, fruits and vegetables and generate solar energy.
On that day, a business forum that brought together about 21 Turkish companies and over 100 entrepreneurs from Tajikistan took place.
