Kyrgyzstan looking for foreign specialists to build 20 hospitals

On May 12, Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Japarov met with World Bank Human Development Regional Director Fadia Saadah. The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers said Kyrgyzstan was planning to build hospitals in 20 cities across the country, the press office of the Government of Kyrgyzstan reports.

Japarov noted that Kyrgyzstan remains a country with a society-centred market economy.

“The highest pay increase went to public sector employees and social benefits were increased in April this year. The Cabinet of Ministers sets ambitious goals in this sphere, including the state-funded construction of hospitals that meet international standards in 20 cities across the country,” the Prime Minister said.

He noted that Kyrgyzstan was currently looking for foreign specialists who could provide technical assistance in the implementation of the project.

The high-ranking official also noted that the Government was implementing the education reform, giving particular emphasis to vocational education.
