On May 6, President of the Asian Football Confederation Shaikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa and Chairman of the Football Federation of Tajikistan (FFT) and Mayor of Dushanbe Rustam Emomali had a meeting in Dushanbe on the eve of the 10th Executive Committee meeting of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), the press office of the Dushanbe Mayor’s Office reported.
The AFC President expressed gratitude to the FFT for hosting the AFC Executive Committee meeting, which would take place in Dushanbe for the first time. He welcomed the efforts of the Football Federation of Tajikistan to raise the standards of football in the country, where this sport, according to him, continues to develop rapidly.
He wished good luck to the national football team in the AFC Asian Cup China 2023 Qualifiers Final Round in June. The AFC President noted that his organisation is proud of the achievements of the Football Federation of Tajikistan.
Rustam Emomali expressed gratitude to the Asian Football Confederation for the implementation of projects in Tajikistan. The interlocutors discussed the current state and prospects for expanding partnerships.
