On May 6, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov had a telephone conversation with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Jeenbek Kulubaev, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan reported.
The interlocutors discussed key issues of bilateral relations based on good neighbourliness and strategic partnerships.
The ministers of the two countries noted that in recent years, Uzbekistan-Kyrgyzstan cooperation has reached a qualitatively new level.
The importance of the timely implementation of bilateral top-level agreements and the further expansion of cooperation in the trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian, transport and logistics and other sectors was emphasised.
The interlocutors reviewed the schedule and agenda of bilateral events planned for the current year.
Vladimir Norov congratulated his counterpart on his recent appointment as Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan.
