On May 5, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov delivered a speech upon the completion of the Muras friendly football tournament in Bishkek, congratulating all the participants on the success of the sporting event, the press office of the President of Kyrgyzstan reports.
The team of the President’s Office is the winners of the Muras football tournament, which was held on May 4-5.
The team won the Challenge Cup and a 1-million-som certificate. The money will be donated to an orphanage.
The team of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan took the second place, and the Alga team of veteran footballers took the third place.
The best players are:
- Emil Zhamgyrchiev (the team of Zhogorku Kenesh) is the best goalkeeper of the tournament;
- Sadyr Japarov (the team of the President’s Office) is the top scorer, he scored 13 goals;
- Vladimir Oreshin (Alga) is the best player.
In his speech, the President highlighted the importance of promoting not only futsal, but also other sports that have many health benefits.
The tournament was organised by the President’s Office. 12 teams participated in the competitions.
