On May 3, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov received Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Peter Szijjarto, who arrived in the country for an official visit, the press office of the President of Kyrgyzstan reports.
An exchange of views on key aspects of bilateral cooperation in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres took place during the meeting. The interlocutors focused on the implementation of joint investment projects under the Hungary-Kyrgyzstan Development Fund.
Sadyr Japarov noted that the Kyrgyz side is expecting Hungary’s Prime Minister Viktor Orban to pay a state visit to Kyrgyzstan. The President of Kyrgyzstan congratulated Peter Szijjarto on his victory in the recent parliamentary elections and awarded him the Order of Dostuk, noting his involvement and contribution to strengthening relations, strategic partnerships and friendship between Kyrgyzstan and Hungary.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary held bilateral meetings with his Kyrgyz counterpart Jeenbek Kulubaev and Minister of Economy and Trade Daniyar Amangeldiyev.
