On May 3, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan had a telephone conversation. They discussed key aspects of interstate cooperation at the current stage. The Tajik leader invited his counterpart to visit Dushanbe, the press office of the President of Tajikistan reported.
Rahmon renewed his invitation to Erdogan to pay an official visit to Tajikistan. The dates of the official visit will be agreed through diplomatic channels.
The leaders of the two states congratulated each other on Eid al-Fitr. They wished happiness to each other and the peoples of the two countries. Discussing economic, trade, cultural and humanitarian cooperation between Tajikistan and Turkey, the interlocutors expressed satisfaction with the current level of bilateral partnerships.
The last time Erdogan paid an official visit to Dushanbe was in 2019 when he attended the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia.
