President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon had a telephone conversation with IRI President Sayyid Ebrahim Raisi. The interlocutors warmly congratulated each other on Eid al-Fitr, the press office of the President of Tajikistan reports.
Rahmon wished peace, stability, prosperity and wealth to the people of Iran.
The leaders of the two states discussed key aspects of friendship and cooperation and the bilateral agenda for 2022.
In this context, Ebrahim Raisi renewed his invitation to the President of Tajikistan to pay an official visit to Iran.
The interlocutors discussed international and regional issues of mutual interest.
As was reported, the leaders of the two states met for the first time at the SCO Summit in September 2021 in Tajikistan, when the newly elected Iranian leader made his first international trip as IRI President.
Along with discussion of the current Afghan agenda and his acquaintance with the Central Asian leaders in Dushanbe, Raisi raised the issues of economic cooperation in the region.
