President of Tajikistan orders to employ graduates of foreign universities

On April 26, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon held a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers. The issues under discussion included the training of citizens of Tajikistan at higher educational institutions abroad. He noted that these young people must be helped to find a job, the press office of the President of Tajikistan reported.

Rahmon emphasised that many young citizens who graduated from foreign universities have found a job in the country, however over 30% of them had failed to comply with the procedure.

The Ministry of Education and Science was instructed to take measures to provide employment to the students who received higher education abroad on the Durakhshandagon President’s scholarship. The President noted that this process should continue this and next year.

The President noted that every year about 5,000 Tajik students go to the Commonwealth of Independent States and far-abroad countries to study at higher educational institutions and research institutions under the intergovernmental agreements. The Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic has adopted a number of regulatory and legal acts in this sphere.
