On April 25, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev received the well-known economist Zhaksybek Kulekeyev. The President and the expert held a dialogue in the format of an exchange of consultation, the press office of Akorda reported.
The economic expert briefed the President on a number of initiatives aimed at the progressive development of the national economy in the global geopolitical conditions. The routing of measures to increase returns on petrochemical facilities and modernize science and engineering resources of the petrochemical industry was considered a priority.
Other pressing issues were also discussed during the meeting. Zhaksybek Kulekeyev presented a subjective projection of the prospects for the implementation of the national social and economic development policy. The interlocutors exchanged views on the approaches to finding solutions to train new formation personnel for state bodies and economic structures in the context of the creation of New Kazakhstan.
Candidate of Economic Sciences, Professor Zhaksybek Kulekeyev held the posts of the Minister of Economy and Trade, Minister of Education and Science and Director for Research at the Applied Economics Research Centre (AERC).
