Caspian Pipeline Consortium to resume oil transportation

On April 20, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev received Chairman of the Board of NC KazMunayGas JSC Magzum Mirzagaliyev, who reported on the measures taken to resolve technical malfunction in the CPC modular system, the press office of the President of Kazakhstan reported.

Mirzagaliyev informed about the main areas of ongoing work, financial and economic status and the stages of development of the National Company for the short term.

Mirzagaliyev reported in detail on the current situation at the Caspian Pipeline Consortium, noting that repair work at the units was nearing completion. Upon resolving technical malfunction, the marine oil conveyor will resume transporting crude oil through its infrastructure sleeves in previous volumes.

Reporting on the progress of the construction of a polypropylene complex in Atyrau region, Mirzagaliyev said the enterprise would be put into operation in a few months.

Commenting on the report, Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev set the National Company a number of specific tasks of ensuring the qualitative development of Kazakhstan’s petrochemical industry.
