On April 6, the commission on foreign trade, investment, local industry development and technical regulation, headed by Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Sardor Umurzakov, visited Navoi Region, the press office of the Ministry reported.
The aim of the trip was to meet with representatives of local business and industrial circles, examine the current level of social and economic development of the region, identify problems and seek solutions.
The delegation consisted of the heads of ministries and departments, commercial banks and industry institutions. More than 250 entrepreneurs and industrialists of Navoi Region took part in the meeting.
The participants discussed and thoroughly reviewed specific issues and problems. Following the meeting, specific instructions were given to the heads of departments and organisations to fulfil the tasks assigned.
They also received instructions to intensify their efforts towards studying the industrial and investment potential of the region to build the industry and stimulate the private sector, including youth entrepreneurship.
The Prosecutor General’s Office of Uzbekistan will be responsible for ensuring that all instructions of the Commission are fulfilled.
