A meeting with a Nokia delegation, headed by Regional Director for Central Asia and the Caucasus at Nokia Solutions and Networks Massimiliano Volpe took place at the Ministry for Development of Information Technologies and Communications of Uzbekistan, the press office of the Ministry reported.
Minister for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications Sherzod Shermatov headed the Uzbek side.
The talks focused on expanding cooperation in the information and communication technology and telecommunications sectors. In particular, the parties discussed specific measures to be taken to attract investment in the industry, improve professional skills of telecommunications workers and introduce new Nokia technologies and services.
The interlocutors discussed the outcomes of the meeting, which was held within the Mobile World Congress 2022 in Barcelona a month ago, that was attended by the Uzbekistan delegation. The participants discussed the progress of the implementation of joint telecommunications projects, exchanged experience and considered expanding the engineering and technical staff of the Nokia Office in Tashkent to support joint projects of JSC Ozbektelekom and Nokia.
