Dushanbe ready to provide its logistics corridors to help Afghanistan

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Farhod Salim participated in the High-level Pledging Event on Supporting the Humanitarian Response in Afghanistan via videoconference. This event was held at the initiative of the UN Secretary-General and the governments of Qatar, the United Kingdom and Germany, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan reports.

In his speech, Farhod Salim focused on the humanitarian situation in this country, highlighting the need to provide urgent targeted assistance to the people of Afghanistan.

The Deputy Minister emphasised that Tajikistan is ready to provide its logistics corridors to all interested parties and donor countries to deliver humanitarian assistance to the Afghan people.

Earlier, China hosted the third Foreign Ministers’ Meeting among the Neighboring Countries of Afghanistan, which was attended by the Tajik delegation headed by Minister of Justice Muzaffar Ashuriyon.

In his speech, the head of the Tajik delegation noted that Tajikistan has repeatedly stated the need for the international community to provide all possible humanitarian assistance to the long-suffering Afghan people.
