On March 30, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev had a meeting with Director at Akhmet Baitursynov National Institute of Linguistics Anar Fazylzhanova, who informed the President about the stages of improving the national language in scientific formats, the press office of the President of Kazakhstan reported.
Reporting on the results of research and practical activities of the employees, Director at the National Institute of Linguistics noted that the staff was developing three areas. The first area is an in-depth study of the theoretical components of Kazakh linguistics, taking into account the developments in world linguistics.
The second area is digital language modelling, i.e. the creation of the electronic information resource “National Corpus of the Kazakh Language”. The third area is the transformation of the “instrument of communication” to broaden the scope of its application.
Commenting on the report, the President positively evaluated the everyday work of the philologists and wished the head of the “temple of science” every success in her professional activity.
