On March 9, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov held a meeting via videoconference on preparations for the Tashkent International Investment Forum, the press office of the Ministry reported.
The heads of a number of ministries, departments and diplomatic missions of Uzbekistan and representatives of local authorities of the regions, the Republic of Karakalpakstan and Tashkent reported on the intermediate results of preparations for the forum and discussed a number of issues that would require coordinated solutions from some ministries and departments.
The participants discussed the agenda of the Tashkent Investment Forum and a list of specific investment and trade agreements to be signed during the event.
They also highlighted the need to ensure sanitary and epidemic safety during the forum.
Following the meeting, specific instructions on further preparations for the international economic forum were given to a number of high-ranking officials.
