Foreign ministers of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan discuss aspects of bilateral partnerships

On March 3, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Mukhtar Tleuberdi, who arrived in the capital of Uzbekistan to participate in the high-level international conference on “Regional cooperation of Central Asian countries within the framework of the Joint Action Plan for the Implementation of the UN Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy”, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan reported.

The agenda of the meeting focused on major aspects of bilateral partnerships in such key areas as trade and economy, transport and transit, water and energy, the cultural and humanitarian spheres, as well as in international and regional politics in the context of the implementation of bilateral agreements.

The interlocutors noted the importance of maintaining the current dynamics of relations between the two neighbouring states and the implementation of high-level agreements.

Abdulaziz Kamilov and Mukhtar Tleuberdi also discussed the schedule of this year’s joint events, including the celebrations of the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
