Kazakhstan has launched economic anti-crisis measures

On March 1, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov held a government meeting on the implementation of measures aimed at maintaining economic dynamics of the country due to the deteriorating situation in the world and its consequences, the press office of the Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan reported to CentralAsia.news.

Alikhan Smailov informed that the Government and the Central Bank have launched the Coordinated Action Plan. It provides for the implementation of more specific measures to curb inflation, ensure forex market stability, provide employment opportunities for citizens and encourage entrepreneurship.

The tenge deposit protection programme has been launched to protect the financial market. The depositor accounts will be credited with premium bonuses. Financing under the Business Roadmap – 2025 will be expanded, including subsidies and guaranteed loans, without putting up any administrative barriers to business activities.

Another significant aspect will be the support of the industrial sector. The Prime Minister stressed that priority importance will be given to reducing import dependence through the industrialization of the economic base and speeding up the implementation of investment projects. Smailov said all entities supported by the state would give their employees pay rises.
