Turkey to cooperate with Kyrgyzstan in textile industry

On February 28, Chairman of the Committee on International Affairs, Defence, Security and Migration of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic Zhanarbek Akayev and a deputy of the Parliament Nurlanbek Azygaliev met with Turkish businessmen and Honorary Consul of Kyrgyzstan in Bursa Bilal Tutus. The interlocutors focused on promoting Bishkek-Ankara trade and economic cooperation, the press office of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan reports.

It was noted that Turkish businessmen are interested in implementing projects in Kyrgyzstan’s textile industry.

The Turkish side is going to enter external markets through the Dordoi, Madina and Kara-Suu markets in Kyrgyzstan.

Nurlanbek Azygaliev said he had chaired the Kyrgyzstan-Turkey forum of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Kyrgyzstan and Turkey in previous years.

He emphasised that trade relations between the two countries have good prospects, as Turkish businessmen have the opportunity to enter the market with a population of 180 million people.

In this regard, he noted the importance of exports and imports, as well as investment in manufacturing.
