On February 21, Head of the Regional Office for Europe and Central Asia of the UN Development Coordination Office Gwi-Yeop Son met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Mukhriddin and Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan Zavki Zavkizoda in Dushanbe, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan reported.
The talks focused on the UN’s reforms to achieve sustainable development, as well as the activities of the United Nations agencies in this sphere. Mukhriddin and Gwi-Yeop Son emphasised the importance of expanding cooperation between the UN and Dushanbe.
During the meeting with Zavkizoda, the Head of the Regional Office emphasised the importance of a meeting of the National Development Council under the President of Tajikistan and the Tajikistan Development Forum.
The UN Development Programme promised to make all necessary efforts to build up the potential of the green economy and the digital economy in Tajikistan.
