Authorities of Kyrgyzstan to provide citizens with comfortable public transport

On January 31, Chairman of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Japarov visited the city transport department of the Bishkek City Hall, where he inspected the condition of the bus fleet. More than 300 out of 476 buses on the balance sheet have to be written-off due to a malfunction, the press office of the Government of Kyrgyzstan reports.

“The bus fleet needs to be renovated completely, and all streets within the city must be reconstructed. Particular attention should be paid to the condition of pedestrian crossings and alleys,” the Prime Minister noted.

He also noted the importance of accelerating the construction of a waste sorting plant.

The Prime Minister highlighted the need to provide citizens of Kyrgyzstan with comfortable public transport.

The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers learned about the technical specifications of a new Belarusian passenger bus provided by the Minsk Automobile Plant on a trial period.

The Belarusian buses will be used to carry passengers on urban routes.
