Kyrgyzstan and Ukraine intend to promote trade and economic relations

On January 28, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Nuran Niyazaliev met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Kyrgyzstan Valery Zhovtenko to discuss the further prospects of bilateral trade and economic cooperation, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reported.

The interlocutors focused on major aspects of trade and economic cooperation, further prospects for enhancing cooperation and preparations for bilateral business forum and a regular meeting of the Kyrgyzstan-Ukraine intergovernmental commission.

The interlocutors confirmed their readiness to hold joint events this year to mark the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

The Deputy Minister met with Head of the EU Delegation to Kyrgyzstan Ambassador Eduard Auer. The interlocutors discussed collaboration under the projects and programmes within the multi-year indicative development programme in the spheres of public administration, education, digital transformation, green economy and environmental protection.
