Government of Kazakhstan discusses 2022 action programme

On January 27, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov held a series of working meetings with the heads of a number of government agencies. The agendas focused on the development of the 2022 Government Action Programme. The ministries reported on the range of tasks to be fulfilled in the specified period, the press office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan reported to CentralAsia.news.

The Ministry of Labour and Social Protection is tasked to cover more than 700,000 people with employment activities, provide 5 million people with state social support and finalise the Social Code and a new concept of migration policy.

The Ministry of Energy is tasked to prevent energy price hikes and supply petroleum products, marketable gas and electricity to the domestic market. The Ministry will continue to attract investment in Kazakhstan’s fuel and energy sector.

This year the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry is tasked to expand the geography of access to digital education, launch the 5G technology standard for broadband cellular networks in large cities and provide access to the Internet in the most remote villages using non-GSO satellite constellations.

Alikhan Smailov instructed that all the provisions of the Programme be put into practice and serve to improve the quality of life of the people.
