Japarov calls on his counterparts from Central Asia and China to help Afghan people

On January 25, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov participated in the Central Asia-China Summit marking the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations via videoconference. Addressing the forum, Japarov suggested that his counterparts continue to provide all kinds of assistance to the long-suffering Afghan people, the press office of the President of Kyrgyzstan reports.

Together with other countries, Kyrgyzstan is concerned about the current difficult situation in Afghanistan and hopes for the soonest establishment of peace in the country.

Japarov emphasised the high level of relations among the countries participating in the summit, based on strategic partnerships.

He also noted that the successful implementation of a number of joint projects would contribute to enhancing and expanding economic partnerships, improving infrastructure and boosting cultural interaction in the region.

Following the summit, the leaders of the Central Asian states and China adopted a joint statement to honour the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations.
