On January 26, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting dedicated to the development of the banking industry. During the meeting, he named the main factors that made it possible to maintain economic and social stability in the country amid the coronavirus pandemic, as reported by the news agency «Turkmenistan today».
Berdimuhamedov noted that a well-thought-out budget and tax policy is pursued in the state. According to him, it allows achieving large-scale progress in the development of the country.
The authorities pay special attention to work on adapting the national economy to external factors. The system of social protection of citizens of Turkmenistan is actively developing. The emphasis was also placed on the modernization of education and healthcare.
The government is taking a number of measures aimed at expanding the production of domestic products, which helps the country spend less money on imports and export more Turkmen goods, thereby diversifying foreign trade operations.
Berdimuhamedov also stressed that money must always function steadily.
