Cabinet of Ministers of Kazakhstan has fulfilled President’s strategic instructions

On January 25, the report on the fulfilment of major instructions of President Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev was presented at the government meeting chaired by Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov, the press office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan reported to CentralAsia.news.

Currently, the executive authorities are taking measures to relieve the impacts of the January events and promote the social and economic development of the country. A six-month moratorium on raising public utility tariffs and prices has been imposed.

To support recovery measures the Public Social Fund “People of Kazakhstan” was established that has earned over 20 billion tenge. Funds have been allocated to the departments of internal affairs to renovate material and technical base. The Government Commission has launched the Compensation Mechanism for Damage to Small- and Medium-Scale Businesses.

Together with the complex measures, a 24-hour hotline has been set up at the 1414 call centre to promptly inform citizens about missing persons. There are 150 hotline operators; as of today, more than 200,000 calls have been received.

The Government has suspended the sale of gas on electronic sales platforms until January 1, 2023.
