Egypt changes entry requirements for citizens of Uzbekistan

From January 22, 2022 Uzbek tourists and citizens of Uzbekistan traveling on a work visa to Egypt are required to comply with the new entry requirements, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan reports.

When crossing the border, citizens of Uzbekistan are required to provide a certificate of a full course of such vaccines as Sinopharm, Sinovac, AstraZeneca, Sputnik V, Moderna, Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson at least 14 days before the departure, or (in the absence of a vaccination certificate) a negative PCR test, rapid antigen test, or ID NOW test.

If citizens of Uzbekistan arrive from such countries as Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Lesotho and Eswatini to Egypt, they are required to get a PCR test or a rapid antigen test upon arrival.

If a traveller is tested positive, he will isolate for 5 days, after which he is required to do another PCR test; if the result is negative, a traveller can be released from isolation.

If travellers have certificates or tests that do not meet the above requirements, they are required to take a rapid test immediately upon arrival.

All of the above requirements apply to adults and teenagers over 12 years old, children under 12 years old are not required to provide vaccination certificates and test results.
