Akylbek Japarov attends opening ceremony of PCR laboratory in Talas Region

On January 22, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Japarov attended the opening ceremony of a PCR laboratory during his working trip to Talas Region. Speaking at the opening ceremony, the Prime Minister noted the importance of opening such laboratories in all regions of the country, the press office of the Government of Kyrgyzstan reports.

As was reported, the PCR laboratory can process up to 800 tests per day.

According to the Cabinet of Ministers, local residents and laboratory employees had emphasised that the after the laboratory was put into operation, it would be much easier to detect coronavirus disease, because the tests used to be sent to Bishkek, which lowered the efficiency of detecting coronavirus disease.

In the near future, the laboratory will expand its profile by increasing the number of testing services.

The Prime Minister visited the Arashan milk processing plant and a sugar beet processing factory in Ak-Dobo village in Bakai-Ata district, Talas Region.

The factory produces 100 tonnes of sugar beets daily and employs 75 workers.
