On January 17, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Aibek Artykbaev and Deputy Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Waleed Al-Khuraiji held online talks on the initiative of Riyadh. The interlocutors discussed a plan of joint events, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reports.
The officials agreed to consider the organisation of mutual visits at all levels and consultation between the foreign ministries. Particular attention was paid to the need to hold a meeting of the intergovernmental commission on bilateral partnerships.
The officials also agreed to hold the Days of Culture of Kyrgyzstan and Saudi Arabia and entrepreneurship forums, in particular for tourism businesses, to mark the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations in 2022.
Waleed Al-Khuraiji highly evaluated the Kyrgyzstan-Saudi Arabia interstate cooperation within the United Nations, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and other international organisations.
