President of Uzbekistan awards military ranks, medals and orders to defenders of Motherland

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev awarded military ranks, orders and medals to a group of military and law enforcement officers to honour the Day of the Defenders and the 30th anniversary of the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan, the press office of the President of Uzbekistan reports.

In recent years, huge work has been done to increase the combat capability of the defence forces and modernise the military command and control structures. The military and administrative sectors have been created and the subdivisions capable of fulfilling multiple tasks have been set up. The level of combat and psychological training of the armed forces has improved.

The large-scale plans aimed at further enhancing the strength of the country, promoting all areas of military science and training military personnel were identified at the annual meeting on January 13.

“The crucial task that I have set for the military districts and the military and administrative sectors is to ensure the unity of the army and the people and contribute to raising human dignity and honour,” Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.

The leader of Uzbekistan presented the certificates on honorary titles, orders and medals and wished the defenders of Uzbekistan good health and every success in fulfilling their duty.
