On January 14, in Ashgabat, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a government meeting. The draft program of cultural events for 2022 was presented to the leader of the country for consideration. It was reported by the state news agency «Turkmenistan Today».
The presentation of the project was conducted by Deputy Prime Minister Mahrijemal Mammedova. She noted that the document provides for a number of festivities, exhibitions, contests, international online conferences, festivals, and media forums this year.
According to the draft program, a Culture Week will be held in the Mary province in June. This year, the finals of the creative contest «Türkmeniń Altyn asyry» («Golden Age of Turkmens») will also be held. The winners of the competition will receive President’s Prize.
On January 26-28, the international conference and exposition «Türkmen topragy — dünýääań salan medeni gymmatlyklaryń ojagy» will be held. Alabais and tazy (Turkmen greyhound) will be the main topics of the event.
