Uzbekistan intends to intensify partnerships with Tatarstan

On January 11, Prime Minister, Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade Sardor Umurzakov held talks by videoconference with a delegation of the Republic of Tatarstan headed by President Rustam Minnikhanov, the press office of the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade reported.

Along with the leader of Tatarstan, the delegation also consisted of the heads of ministries and departments.

The parties discussed the current state and prospects for bilateral cooperation in key areas in the implementation of a number of important joint projects and programmes in the chemical, oil and gas, automotive, medical device, housing and community services, science and education sectors.

A delegation of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan will visit Uzbekistan in the near future to hold talks on a number of specific aspects of Uzbekistan-Tatarstan cooperation.

The parties expressed hope that the fruitful dialogue between Uzbekistan and Tatarstan would continue, which would contribute to the successful implementation of bilateral projects and boost trade and economic partnerships.
