Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan toughens up control over national situation

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic tasked the internal affairs bodies, namely the police, to toughen control over the situation in the country. Currently, measures are being taken to prevent crime and monitor the mass media and social networks, the press office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported to CentralAsia.news on January 10.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, employees of the internal affairs bodies, who are working in full force, are making every effort to maintain social stability.

Measures are being taken to toughen control over road traffic flows and transportation of passengers. Particular attention is paid to checking the social media posts for false information. Moreover, employees of the internal affairs bodies monitor the mass media to prevent panic and anxiety among citizens.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs also urged citizens not to succumb to provocations and refrain from sharing misleading information on the Internet.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported that five Kyrgyz citizens had been detained during mass protests and riots on the territory of Kazakhstan.
