Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to Ukraine Davlatali Nazrizoda met with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitry Senik in Kiev. The interlocutors discussed further aspects of strengthening cooperation, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan reported on January 1.
The interlocutors positively evaluated the results of interaction in 2021. An exchange of views on political consultations between diplomatic departments, a business forum, the celebrations of the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations and the resumption of Dushanbe-Kiev-Dushanbe flights took place.
The officials expressed interest in strengthening partnerships in the energy, investment, cultural and education sectors. Particular attention was paid to the importance of increasing trade in 2022.
Ukraine exported sugar, confectionery, grain products, paper, cardboard and medicines worth US$ 16.68 million to Tajikistan in the first 10 months of 2020. The surplus of Kiev is US$ 16.08 million in the reporting period.
