Russia introduces new rules for entry of migrant workers from Kyrgyzstan

On December 28, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic informed that from December 29, 2021 foreign citizens, including citizens of Kyrgyzstan, intending to work in the Russian Federation must undergo an obligatory medical examination and complete state fingerprint identification and photography within 30 days upon arrival in Russia, the press office of the MFA of Kyrgyzstan reports.

Foreign citizens who arrived in Russia for a purpose other than work for a period exceeding 90 calendar days must complete state fingerprint identification and photography within 90 calendar days from the date of entry to Russia.

The document also states that federal state unitary enterprises in a number of constituent entities of the Russian Federation should assist local departments of internal affairs in conducting fingerprint identification and photography.
