A solemn award ceremony of the renowned female professionals of Uzbekistan: workers of various professions, businesswomen and activists of public organisations, who had showed the best results in their work, took place at the Hilton Hotel in Tashkent, the press office of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan reported.
The winners of the contests, held by the Commission for Gender Equality, received awards. Chairman of the Senate Tanzila Narbaeva opened the ceremony and addressed the audience.
The winners of the Nafosat Republican Contest received awards for taking an active part in improving the style of clothing of a modern Uzbek woman and promoting modern and national clothing. 13 representatives f the regions and Tashkent received awards.
The winners of the Gender Equality Activist contest include the organisations and enterprises, including the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Defence, the Samarkand Region khokimiyat and the Tumaris Centre for Women and Youth. The awards were presented to the team of the Uzpromstroybank website, Editor-in-Chief of the Karakalpak TV and Radio Channel Gulnaz Nurbekova and a correspondent of the Human.uz news portal Nargiza Yunusova.
The Grand Prix of the 2021 Woman of the Year contest was awarded to Chairman of a farm from Karakalpakstan Palzada Salieva. Her prize is a Lacetti car.
Head of the Department of Otolaryngology at the 2nd Samarkand Medical Institute, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor Makhzuna Nasriddinova took the first place. Deputy Head of the Crime Prevention Office at the Bukhara Region Directorate of Internal Affairs Dilfuza Sharopova and Head of the Mevazor-Saodat cooperative from Shakhrisabz Saodat Nizamova took the second and third places, respectively. They received the vouchers for large sums.
