Tokayev reviews progress of digital transformations in government bodies

On December 23, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev held a meeting with Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry Bagdat Musin. The Minister reported on the progress of digital transformations in government bodies and the work done by the Ministry in 2021, the press office of Akorda reported.

The Minister informed about the intermediate indicators of business process reengineering of public services delivery and the advantages of using digital tools to fight corruption.

Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev approved the KPIs for digital vice ministers and their performance evaluation criteria. The President also supported the initiative of the Ministry to improve professional digital competencies of civil servants. In this context, the President noted that every employee must have the necessary knowledge in this area to ensure the success of digital transformations.

Musin reported on complex inspections conducted throughout the country. Following the inspections, telecom operators were charged with fines for failure to ensure the proper cohesiveness of communications. These measures allowed improving the quality of communication in 532 villages.
