Japarov intends to return to pre-pandemic economic growth

On December 16, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov met with Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission Mikhail Myasnikovich. The interlocutors discussed the chairmanship of Kyrgyzstan in the EAEU bodies in 2022, the press office of the President of Kyrgyzstan reports.

“Today we are to fulfil an important task – to return to the pre-pandemic growth rates and ensure the further increase of economic development indicators,” Japarov said.

The President underscored the importance of making full use of the existing integration potential of the Eurasian Economic Union and the competitive advantages of each member state to sustain integration and strengthen the economies of the member states.

The leader of Kyrgyzstan emphasised that the next year should focus on strengthening investment cooperation, creating transport corridors and expanding trade and economic contacts to enter new promising markets.

Myasnikovich expressed the hope that the coming year under the chairmanship of Kyrgyzstan in the EAEU bodies would not only be successful for the Union, but also play an important role in boosting economic development of Kyrgyzstan.
