A conference in honor of a new poem by President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov «Long live a peaceful life!» was held at the Mukam Palace in Ashgabat on December 15. The event was attended by writers, poets and singers. It was reported by «Turkmenistan Today».
The conference participants thanked Berdimuhamedov for «a wonderful creative gift to the people». They noted that the poem was written on the occasion of the International Day of Neutrality and the 26th anniversary of the neutrality of Turkmenistan.
According to the cultural figures and artists, people of the country live in peace, and the quality of their life is improving steadily.
The poem demonstrates the significance of the foreign policy course chosen by Ashgabat. The conference participants drew attention to the fact that the work calls for openness and shows the commitment of the Turkmen people to solve difficult issues through negotiations.
Berdimuhamedov wrote over 60 books. Many of them have been translated into foreign languages.
