Anti-corruption worldview instilled in Kyrgyz schoolchildren

The anti-corruption awareness raising events took place at educational institutions in Sverdlovsk district of Bishkek during the week. The large-scale regional competition under the theme “We are against corruption!” was the finale of the anti-corruption campaign. The winners received certificates of honour, the press office of the Mayor’s Office of Bishkek reported to CentralAsia.news on December 13.

Teachers told schoolchildren about corruption and its negative impact on the life of the state and society during the classroom hours, including lectures and discussions on the International Anti-Corruption Day.

Children took part in roundtable meetings and wrote dictation tests and essays. In their essays, young citizens of Bishkek wrote about their attitude towards corrupt officials. Primary school children participated in the drawing, poster, wall newspaper and video contests. Schoolchildren also read the works on the damage caused by corruption.
