On December 11, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev inspected the progress of construction of the building complex of the Technology Park of software products and information technologies in Mirzo-Ulugbek district of the capital, the press office of the President of Uzbekistan reported.
The Uzbek leader talked with representatives of the business and digital technology companies on the construction site of the future IT cluster, and discussed with the mahallas heads and district khokim assistants the measures for encouraging entrepreneurship, creating new jobs and improving the standards of living of the population.
The new building complex will include six 20-25-storey office buildings, a conference hall, residential buildings for employees, a hotel, a cafe, a restaurant, shopping centres, sports and recreation areas and an underground car park. The facilities are being built using earthquake resistant technologies.
The IT Park will house a co-working centre, a university and IT companies. It is planned to relocate the Ministry for Development of Information Technologies and Communications and a number of related organisations to the IT Park.
