President of Uzbekistan completes state visit to Kazakhstan

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev completed his state visit to Uzbekistan and returned to Tashkent on the evening of December 6, the press office of the President of Uzbekistan reported.

The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan held talks with the leader of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev, took part in a media briefing and signed 22 documents on cooperation, including the Declaration on Allied Relations between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, the 5-year action plan to increase bilateral trade turnover up to US$ 10 billion and the roadmaps for regional cooperation for 2022-2023 between khokimiyats of Tashkent and Turkestan Regions, Navoi and Kyzylorda Regions and  Tashkent and Nur-Sultan during his visit to the capital of Kazakhstan.

The parties also signed the agreements to expand cooperation in trade, transport and communications, energy, science and education, defence, emergency prevention and the use of space.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev took part in the opening ceremony of the new building of the Embassy of Uzbekistan, met with the ex-President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev and visited the Office of the Digital Government in Nur-Sultan.
