Korea highly evaluates Kyrgyzstan’s proposals at forum in Dushanbe

On November 30, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Ruslan Kazakbayev had a meeting with his Korean counterpart Chung Eui-yong on the sidelines of the 14th Korea-Central Asia Cooperation Forum. The Korean side noted that it supported Kyrgyzstan’s proposals put forward by Kazakbayev at the forum, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reported.

Korea supports the proposals to strengthen cooperation on preventing glacier melting and exchanging knowledge among healthcare workers in the fight against the pandemic.

The Korean side informed about the decision to increase the quota for students from Kyrgyzstan to 36 in the framework of cooperation in the education sector.

The interlocutors also considered the possibility of launching a direct flight, implementing projects in agriculture, education and healthcare and attracting targeted investments from South Korea.

Kazakbayev invited Chung Eui-yong to visit Kyrgyzstan at any convenient time with the aim to strengthen political, economic, cultural and humanitarian contacts between the two countries.
