On November 28, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov delivered a speech at the 15th ECO Summit during his visit to Ashgabat. Japarov called on the leaders of the ECO Member States to promote mutually beneficially cooperation in the hydroelectric power industry, the press office of the President of Kyrgyzstan reports.
The President of Kyrgyzstan also called on the leaders of the ECO Member States to develop and implement the appropriate strategies in the transport and communications, industrial, energy, trade, investment, tourism and environmental sectors, emphasising their economic priority in enhanced regional cooperation, economic growth and regional development.
Japarov had a meeting with President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
Japarov noted that the Kyrgyz side attached great importance to deepening cooperation with Turkmenistan in the trade, economic, energy and other sectors.
The leaders of the two states expressed mutual readiness to further strengthen and deepen bilateral cooperation for the benefit of the peoples of the two countries.
